Why we built it
A generic list of garages is little use when a loaded artic has an air fault on the M6 in the middle of the night. What matters is who can attend that vehicle, at that point on that road, with the right kit, and whether they are taking work right now. The usual answers are a directory that sells placement to whoever pays, or a national network that puts a control room in the middle and subcontracts the job. HGV247 does neither: it shows what each provider has published and leaves the two of you talking to each other.
It is built by Fleeta Limited, which makes fleet and transport software and also runs Woolpit Truck Repairs (opens in a new tab), a commercial vehicle workshop at Bridge Farm in Woolpit, Suffolk.
Every listing is checked before it is published: the trading identity and the contact details behind it. The verification badge describes that check and nothing more. It is not an endorsement or a promise of attendance.
When a search finds nobody suitable, HGV247 says so rather than padding the page with unverified businesses. There are no invented provider counts, fake reviews or made-up response times.
